JANUARY

  • January 1 – New Year’s Day

  • January 2 – New Year’s Day observed

  • January 16 – Martin Luther King Jr. Day

  • January 28 – Data Privacy Day

  • January 31 – Forms W-2 & 1099 Distribution and Filing Deadlines (paper and e-file)

  • January 31 – Quarterly Forms 720 and 941 Due

  • January 31 – Annual Form 940 Due (if quarterly FUTA taxes were not paid when due) 

 

FEBRUARY

  • Black History Month

  • February 1 – Post OSHA Form 300A Summary through April 30

  • February 10 – Annual Form 940 Due (if quarterly FUTA taxes were paid when due)

  • February 20 – Presidents’ Day

  • February 28 – ACA Forms Paper Filing Deadline, including Forms 1095-B and 1095-C

MARCH

  • March 1 – HIPAA Breach Notification

  • March 1 – Form 8809 (paper) and M-1 Filing Deadline 

  • March 2 – CMS Creditable Coverage Disclosure   

  • March 2 – OSHA Form 300A Due

  • March 2 – Forms 1095-B and 1095-C Furnished to Employees 

  • March 4 – Employee Appreciation Day

  • March 8 – International Women's Day

  • March 13 – Daylight Saving Time Begins

  • March 31 – Forms 1095-B, 1095-C, and 8809 E-Filing Deadline

  • March 31 – End of Q1

 

APRIL

  • April 15 – Forms 7004 and 8928 Filing Deadline

  • April 18 – Tax Day

  • April 26 – Administrative Professionals Day

  • April 30 – Quarterly Forms 720 and  941 Due

 

MAY

  • Global Employee Health and Fitness Month 

  • May 15 – Non-Profit Tax Returns Deadline, including Form 990

  • May 29 – Memorial Day

 

JUNE

  • Pride Month
  • Mid-June TBD  – EEO-1 Data Collection Begins *(This date has not yet been set.)
  • June 19 – Juneteenth

  • June 30 – End of Q2

  • Mid-Year Benefits Review – Remind employees to take advantage of any eligible voluntary benefits

 

 

JULY

  • July 4 – Independence Day

  • July 31 – Forms 5500 and 5558 Filing Deadline (for calendar year plans)

  • July 31 – Quarterly Forms 720 and  941 Due

  • Compliance Check – Employee and benefits notices and compliance procedures  

 

AUGUST

  • National Eye Exam Month  

  • Back-to-School Reminders – This is also a great time of year to remind employees about dependent care FSAs and other benefits before school begins

 

SEPTEMBER

  • September 4 – Labor Day

  • September 4-9 – National Payroll Week

  • September 30 – Summary Annual Report Furnished to Covered Participants 

  • September 30 – End of Q3

  • PTO Check – Remind employees to check PTO balances before Q4

  • Fall Immunizations – Encourage flu shots and other seasonal vaccinations

 

OCTOBER

  • National Disability Employment Awareness Month

  • October 3 – QSEHRA Notice Deadline (for QSEHRAs that begin January 1, 2023)

  • October 3 – RDS Application Due to CMS (for plan years beginning January 1, 2023)

  • October 9 – Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples’ Day

  • October 14 – Medicare Part D Notice of Creditable Coverage Delivery to Plan Participants

  • October 16 – National Boss’s Day

  • October 31 – Forms 720 and 941 Due

  • October 31 – Halloween

 

NOVEMBER

  • November 5 – Daylight Saving Time Ends

  • November 10 – Veterans Day (observed)

  • November 11 – Veterans Day

  • November 23 – Thanksgiving

  • FSA Reminder – Remind employees to submit FSA receipts before EOY

 

DECEMBER

  • December 25 – Christmas Day

  • December 31 – New Year’s Eve

  • December 31 – End of Q4
