It’s been over two months since President Biden announced a federal COVID vaccine mandate for private employers. At that time, he directed the Occupational Safety and Health Administration to draft an emergency temporary standard to that effect.

On November 4, OSHA made the details of the ETS public, and the rule went into effect the next day. Employers will have 30-60 days to comply with its various requirements, but a temporary suspension by the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit will likely complicate that timeline.
