FAQ: How to Fill Out and File an EEO-1 Form Instructions

After more than a year’s delay, employers can now file EEO-1 forms for 2019 and 2020, which are due in mid-August 2021. And while most private employers aren’t subject to fines for non-compliance, human resources professionals probably have plenty of questions about this form and how it works.

In the latest episode of HR Party of One, I went through a step-by-step tutorial demonstrating how you can fill out and file an EEO-1 report.

According to the EEOC, the EEO-1 form, or the EEO-1 Component 1 report ...

is a mandatory annual data collection that requires all private-sector employers with 100 or more employees, and federal contractors with 50 or more employees meeting certain criteria, to submit demographic workforce data, including data by race/ethnicity, sex and job categories.
