Here are the 3 BerniePortal product updates released this month that will help streamline your organization’s HR functions.

More Detailed PTO Request Emails for Approvers

Often when employees request PTO, they are hoping for a timely response. BerniePortal’s PTO tracker simplifies the process, allowing HR to handle requests quickly and ensuring more efficient responses to employees. 

When an employee requests PTO in their BerniePortal account, their PTO approver will be alerted via email. These emails include the employee’s name and how many hours they are requesting off, which allows for managers to approve or deny requests with better judgment.

Updates to the Employee Search Bar

When it comes to managing your employees, it can feel like there are not enough hours in the day. BerniePortal is designed to streamline everyday HR functions, saving you valuable time to complete other tasks.

In our most recent update, we added the employee search bar to the homepage. This update allows you the ability to quickly search for an employee’s profile without navigating away from the main page.

Guided Enrollment Now Displays Applied and Approved Amounts for Voluntary Life

It’s no secret that benefits enrollment can be complicated and often raises many questions from employees. BerniePortal has made it easier for employees to choose benefits by promoting greater transparency into their elections, ensuring that employees feel confident with what they select. When an employee elects voluntary life coverage in BerniePortal and applies for more than the guaranteed issue amount, they will now see the approved and applied-for amounts in the final review screen. 

To illustrate this, in the example below, the employee applied for $200,000 in voluntary life, but the guaranteed issue is $80,000. They will see applied and approved amounts on the final review screen.
