Here are the 2 BerniePortal product updates released this month that will help streamline your organization’s HR functions.

Update Requiring Employees to Verify Personal Information During Open Enrollment

With HR records, an employee’s personal information must be up to date and accurate. To facilitate this, BerniePortal now requires employees to verify their personal information during open enrollment. Verifying information will help ensure that typos or errors don’t slip through the cracks. 

In addition, this update ensures that ID cards are sent to the correct addresses. Plus, up-to-date contact information is verified by the employee when they are renewing their benefits—which leads to a smoother open enrollment for everyone.

Messaging Improvements in “To-Do List”

From the BerniePortal homepage, admins can see an itemized to-do list to keep important tasks top of mind. Employers can email employees with outstanding benefit elections directly from the to-do list. Because benefit elections are time sensitive, admins can send follow-ups more efficiently.

With the recent update, HR admins can send individual reminders to anyone who has outstanding benefit enrollments, instead of the only options being the first 10 people on the list or everyone on the list at once. These follow-up emails keep benefit elections on the forefront and ensure your organization stays compliant.
